It isolates the power rails from the analog ground, thus reducing power rail capacitance and improving accuracy and safety.In addition, the SI8423AD-D-IS utilizes a patented dual core architecture consisting of a low-voltage core and an isolated high-voltage core. This allows the protective delay of power-up and power-down sequences, thereby preventing false triggering of the output relay due to the large potential difference created by a shorted output transistor.Furthermore, the SI8423AD-D-IS uses a multi-bit sigma delta approach to generate an isolated digital signal by converting an analog input voltage into a stream of bits.
