The SI8650AB-B-IS1 has a wide common-mode voltage range from -7 to 8.5V and a high transient electrostatic discharge (ESD) withstand rating of 8kV. The device features built-in self-test circuitry that can detect faulty or improperly connected external components, minimizing problems in development and reducing the time needed for debugging.The SI8650AB-B-IS1’s isolation interface operates with 3 separate signal paths including power. The device features two input/output (I/O) ports supporting bidirectional data transmission up to 2 Mbps. The ports use a logic high signal to enable the digital isolator interface, and a logic low signal for isolation. The two I/O ports are isolated from each other and the isolated power supply, enabling data transmission without risk of electrical shock.The SI8650AB-B-IS1 is a low-cost, three-port digital isolator ideal for applications requiring a small form factor and low power consumption.
