SM16LC15CE3/TR13 is a TVS diode produced by NXP Semiconductors. It is an integrated circuit device specifically designed to protect against electrostatic discharges (ESD) and surge voltages.

The working principle of the SM16LC15CE3/TR13 device involves the use of two different circuit elements - a bipolar transistor and a zener diode. During surge or ESD events, the current is diverted to the zener diode, which then acts as a clamping circuit, limiting the voltage. This enables the device to provide surge and ESD protection levels that greatly exceed that of typical TVS diodes.
The SM16LC15CE3/TR13 TVS device provides excellent protection against electrostatic discharges and transient voltages.
