Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diodes, also known as TransZorb diodes, are typically utilized in devices to protect them from potential voltage surges, to provide additional current carrying capacity which exceeds the capabilities of a typical gas discharge arrestor. The SMAJ7.5CA is one such type of TVS diode, used in different applications and with its own specific working principles.This particular type of diode is an unidirectional diode, with a working peak pulse power of 600 watts while its Stand-Off voltage (breakdown voltage) is around 7.5 volts.
