SMBJ13A-Q

The SMBJ13A-Q is a series of Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diodes used to protect electrical and electronic components from voltage transients such as those caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD) or lightning. TVS diodes are bi-directional elements that conduct current when the forward voltage is exceeded, absorbing the voltage surge and protecting the system from the damaging effects of overvoltage and excessive current. The SMBJ13A-Q has the following electrical characteristics: Operating Voltage of 6.8 to 170 Volts; Peak Pulse Power Dissipation of 15,000 Watts; Reverse Stand-Off Voltage of 5.0 to 13 Volts; Peak Pulse Current of 60 Amps; and Capacitance of 1000 pF.
