The SMBJ18CA-TR has an extremely low leakage current, allowing it to remain in a low power state until the voltage across it exceeds the chosen VPL. Once it trips, the diode can handle up to 1500 V peak pulse power and is capable of withstanding up to 600 W peak pulse power for SSESD applications. Additionally, the diode is designed to provide protection against both ESD and over-voltage transients with both forward and backward conduction capabilities.
