Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diodes are semiconductor components designed to protect electronic circuits from overvoltage transients such as electrical surges caused by lightning, electrostatic discharge, and switching events. It features a surge capability of 1500 Watt peak, very low dynamic resistance, and highly reliable performance. Additionally, this device is compliant with RoHS and AEC-Q101 standards.
The SMBJ6.5CA-TR features a very fast response time, typically less than 1.0 ns. This feature helps to protect sensitive circuits from overvoltage transients that could otherwise cause irreparable damage. The device also exhibits very low leakage current, typically less than 1.0A. This ensures that the device does not draw too much current from the circuit it is protecting.
