The SN65EPT22D is a low-power, low-voltage, high-speed differential bus transceiver that is ideal for noise-immune applications such as system protection, automotive audio and telematics. The SN65EPT22D is designed for applications requiring low power, data transmission and local control/computation at low voltage with high speed. It operates at data rates up to 1 Mbps, and has an extremely wide operating voltage of 3.0V to 3.6V. This transceiver has an active-low enable (EN) input, which allows the transceiver to be turned off to save power.

The SN65EPT22D belongs to logic-translators and level shifters due its low-power, low-voltage, high-speed differential bus transceiver capabilities. The working principle of the SN65EPT22D lies in its capability of converting digital signals between two dissimilar logic families with different gate-capacitance, propagation delay, and power-dissipation levels.
