The SN65LVDS104PW is a type of interface, signal buffer and repeaters, splitters which can be seen offering highest signaling rate. This chip offers a compact one-chip design that supports the high-speed communication of the industry and the high-speed video. The SN65LVDS104PW can be used for data transmission. It does this by converting TTL (Transistor-Transistor Logic) signals to Low Voltage Differential Signals (LVDS) and juggling the clock and data between the two interfaces. The device supports full-duplex operation with a maximum data rate of 165 Mbps or 1.8 Gbps in both directions. This helps to reduce total system cost while offering the dependable transmission of this interface.

The features of the SN65LVDS104PW are what make it so desirable for applications that require high-speed serial data transmission. The device can provide up to six differential pairs of the LVDS with a total data rate of 990 Mbps. Dual transmitters and receivers are featured for the device, enabling it to support the bidirectional operation with high data rates. It also includes LVDS output enable and bias signals for the ease of cascading. The cascade chain can have up to four devices connected in series. The device is operating at 3.3 V supply and its input logic threshold is as low as 0.8 V.
