The 74AHC573DBR is a high-performance octal D-type flip-flop with non-inverting register, commonly utilized as a data latch in logic circuit applications. The device is a D-Type flip-flop, with each flip-flop featuring non-inverting D-Input and Q-Output with individual set, reset, and clock inputs. All D inputs are in the low state when the reset line is driven low, and all Q outputs are reset into the high state.
The 74AHC573DBR includes advanced circuit techniques in order to ensure high speed performance, low power consumption, and greater output drive capability. Its two simultaneous active-low active reset (R) inputs can reset all outputs to the high logic state. This technique of continuously shifting data through the device is commonly used in computer memory applications (SRAM and DRAM), as well as clock-synchronized I/O operations.
On the other hand, the flip-flops in the AHC573DBR can be used for running counters and sequencing, or even for controlling multiplexers that switch data. This is done by feeding the output of one flip-flop back into the input of another so that changing the state of one output generates an output on another. This can be especially effective when combined with the inputs from the latch.
