Logic - Counters, Dividers
The SN74ALS163BDR is a low-cost, high-performance asynchronous presettable up/down counter containing four either 4-bit or 5-bit counters with modulo up to 26. The SN74ALS163BDR is designed to implement various standard synchronous counter functions including programmable division and maximum count. It is a fully synchronous, presettable up and down counter where the count is controlled by a single mode bit and an up/down line. The counters can be used as dividers or frequency dividers as well as for frequency division, as long as the clock is fast enough for it to handle the data.
