The SN74ALVCH373DWR is an advanced, high-speed, ultra-low-power logic latch. It is widely used in many applications, such as in communication systems, power management, automotive and industrial applications. This device is also used as a buffer in memory devices, as well as digital logic designs, and embedded systems.Functionally, SN74ALVCH373DWR consists of two independent latches, with each latch having an active low enable input (E). When the E input is asserted, the upper latch is enabled and the data at the D input is stored in the latch. The lower latch is enabled when the E input is not asserted.The SN74ALVCH373DWR is specified to operate over an operating temperature range of -55 to +125 C and across a wide range of supply voltages, from 4.5V to 5.5V. The device is fabricated using an advanced CMOS process that provides low static power consumption, high speed and low noise operation, making it ideal for low power applications.The SN74ALVCH373DWR has two distinct control inputs, E and S. The S input is used to determine the desired operation of the latch, while the E input is used to enable the latch operation. The E input enable the latching action of the SN74ALVCH373DWR, while the S input is used to enable or disable the latching operation.In normal operation, the E input is asserted to enable the latch, while the S input is de-asserted to enable the latching action. When the S input is asserted, the latch is in the inactive state. In this state, both latch outputs are low and the data present at the D input is ignored.In active state, the E input is asserted, and the S input is de-asserted. In this state, the data present at the D input is stored in the latch. When the S input is asserted and the E input is de-asserted, the latch is in the pre-load state. In this state, the data present at the D inputs is stored in the latch, and the latch maintains its state regardless of the inputs.The SN74ALVCH373DWR also has a reset input, R. When the R input is asserted, the output states of both the latches are reset to their low order status, regardless of any other inputs. This reset input is asynchronous to the E and S inputs and is used to clear the latches in the event of an unexpected condition.The SN74ALVCH373DWR also has an additional enable input, E Inhib. This enable input is used to enable and disable the latch action of the inputs in the active state. When the E Inhib input is asserted, the latches will not respond to changes on the S and E inputs.
