The SN74AVC4T245DR is a low-power quad bidirectional transceiver with configurable voltage translation and 5-V tolerance on the A ports. This device is designed to interface between 5-V devices and USB3.0 and other standards at 1.8-V, 2.5-V, 3.0-V, and 3.3-V devices. Working Principle

The SN74AVC4T245DR consists of two Non-Inverting (3-State) Bus Transceivers with voltage translation on both Channels A and B from 1.3-V to 5-V. With two channels, the SN74AVC4T245DR can operate two simultaneous bi-directional interfaces between two different logic families with a voltage translation provided. The device contains two groups of input/output (I/O) ports which are paired: Channel A and Channel B. Each channel consists of four input/output pins, with both inputs and outputs dynamic bus-hold circuits, which helps to keep an input at a valid logic level when the input is not driven by an external source.
