The SN74CBTLV3257PWR is an ultra-low power octal bus transceiver and register featuring Rail-to-Rail switched bidirectional ports. A Register basically allows data to be stored in a digital circuit, while the multiplexers and decoders are used to carry out the necessary logic functions.
