SN75159N is generally used as an interface between 3.3V logic circuits and 5V logic circuits, connecting a 3.3V serial bus to a 5V serial bus. The SN75159N consists of an octal (8-channel) bidirectional transceiver, along with active low output enable (OE) and active high input enable (IE) logic inputs. The high level VCC and low level VEE pins allow the device to operate at any supply voltage between 3.3V and 5V. When the OE input is at a low logic level, the eight outputs become active. When the OE input is at a high logic level, the eight outputs are inhibited, regardless of the logic levels on the data inputs. When IE is at a low logic level, the 8-data outputs (Q1 through Q8) receive data from the 8-data inputs (D1 through D8). When IE is at a high logic level, the 8-data inputs (D1 through D8) receive data from the 8-data outputs (Q1 through Q8).Conclusion
