In addition, the devices feature internal circuitry to test the open state of the transmission line, select an input line from multiple sources and store the latest valid transmitted data bits.
The SN751178NSRE4has a unique working principle by which it operates. It sends differential PECL (pulse-excited current-mode logic) signals across its four transceiver channels. First, it sets up the voltage on the transmitter side of the device by applying an appropriate number of logic 0s (low) and 1s (high). If the transmitted signals match the received ones, then the data is accepted and the driver/receiver transceivers complete the task of sending/receiving data across the data line. This process is used to effectively send and receive date over long distances with high speed.
