The IC includes two independent N-channel MOSFETs, one 30V and one 20V. These two transistors work together to control the high speed digital signal. The two transistors are connected in an arrangement called a source-follow-driver configuration. The source-follow driver configuration allows the SN75471DR to control the high speed signal with a range of voltages and current levels.When the SN75471DR receives a digital signal, it converts the signal into a high speed square wave pulse. This pulse is then sent to the two transistors in order to control the speed and voltage level of the signal. When the signal returns to the SN75471DR, it is converted back into a digital signal and sent back out.The SN75471DR also includes an integrated driver IC.
