Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diodes are a type of protection component used to limit voltage on a wire. This is done by introducing a low resistance parallel path in the event of an overvoltage event, thus allowing the excess current to flow safely away. The SP4062-04UTG is a TVS diode manufactured by PUI Audio, LLC. This diode is designed for surge protection, and can be used in a variety of applications.

The SP4062-04UTG is a low capacitance diode that provides up to 400 watts of peak power dissipation.
