SP490CN-L/TR is an integrated voltage detector which displays significant features such as low standby current, low voltage detection voltage, wide voltage detection range and low input hysteresis.SP490CN-L/TR belongs to the classification of Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers. This device can detect a wide range of low voltages from 0.9V to 5.5V with a high accuracy of 1% and provides a wide detection voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V.It operates by monitoring the voltage that is applied to its monitoring pin. When the voltage exceeds the “Set” point, the output will go high, when it is below the “Reset” point, the output will go low. This threshold voltage can be set with the help of an external resistor network. The hysteresis of this device is exceptionally low which helps to minimize power consumption and allow a wide dynamic range of operation.The SP490CN-L/TR also features an open collector output which can handle up to 16V and 200 mA of output current when connected to logic high level and provides excellent display driver compatibility. It also has a built-in logic-level shift circuit which allows it to work with both 3.3V and 5V systems without any external circuitry. The SP490CN-L/TR is ideal for voltage monitoring and safety applications. It can be used to monitor the startup and power-down of the system, reset a microcontroller, detect battery voltage, provide a warning signal when the input voltage drops, or switch alarm systems.
