Working Principle

SSL5031BTS/1X is a linear white LED driver which integrated a 500mA power switch and a power supply driven, it is ideal for applications which require precise light control and up to 1W of LED power. It is designed to reduce EMI noise and simplify power management for applications.

SSL5031BTS/1X is capable of precisely controlling the current from 1mA to 48mA and it can maintain a 20KHz frequency ripple and reduce the output impedance. The output current is determined by two external resistors. In addition, the LED driver can be further enhanced with a PWM dimming input and/or an analog voltage dimming input. When it is power supply on, it will start to blow up, adjusting LED to the required brightness. Other features include over-temperature protection, current limiting and short-circuit protection.
