SSLE11P are Snap Action, Limit Switches, which are versatile electromechanical switching devices, designed to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. These switches are designed to detect the presence of a specific condition, such as the position of a mechanical device, for example the rotation of a dial, or the displacement of an object. The SSLE11P is a single pole, double throw (SSPDT) switch. It has two normally open contacts (NO) and one normally closed contact (NC). These switches are normally attached to a metal frame that has been designed to withstand a shock load.When a voltage is applied to the SSLE11P, it acts as a bridge between the two inputs. This bridge serves as the sensing element for the SSLE11P. The current flows through the switch, creating a magnetic field. When a predetermined amount of current is detected, the magnetic field causes the switch to snap or flip, closing the normally open contacts or opening the normally closed contact. This switching action is what gives SSLE11P its name.The SSLE11P has a wide range of applications. It can be used as an alarm system, as a thermostat, as a switch to control an electric motor, as a switch to monitor the level of a liquid, as a switch to detect pressure, as an interlock, as a detector of pressure, or vibration, and as a door closure or light switch.The operation of the SSLE11P is straightforward and reliable. The switch consists of two independent electromechanical components: a contacts-frame assembly and a electrostatic actuator. The contacts-frame is made from metal and is mounted to the frame using two screws. The actuator is connected to the frame using two springs. When the user applies voltage to the switch, it causes the actuator to vibrate, which in turn causes the contacts-frame to move. The contacts-frame will close the normally closed contact and open the normally open contacts when a predetermined current is detected.The SSLE11P is a versatile and reliable switch. It is simple to install and requires very little maintenance. Its operation is reliable and repeatable, making it a great choice for many applications.
