The SSLE11 (XD) limit switch is a snap action limit switch designed for a wide range of applications. It offers two different switch operations and is designed to fit a variety and sizes of enclosures.

• Various machining configurations, such as left/right-handed threads and plug, as well as through hole or surface mount
• Reverse polarity and special switch lever feature
• AC and DC operation with LED option
• Operating temperature range from -20°C to 60°C
• IP rating from IP 67 to IP69K
• Vibration rating up to 15G.

Operation and Application Field

The SSLE11 (XD) limit switch can operate as either a basic snap action limit switch, or as an adjustable travel limit switch. As a basic snap action limit switch it is designed to open and close upon contact, either manually or mechanically. Explained further, the snap action requires a certain amount of force to throw the switch, after which the contacts will remain in the same state until they are manually reset or until the switch is mechanically reset. As an adjustable travel limit switch, the SSLE11 (XD) can be adjusted to switch off at user determined positions.

Working Principle

The SSLE11 (XD) limit switch is designed to detect the position of an object or its movement. The switch is triggered by the actuation of a plunger when it comes into contact with the object. Depending on the switch design and configuration, the switch either opens to create an electrical circuit or closes to break an electrically circuit.
