The STC6NF30VArray is a family of high-performance, low-voltage, high-performance array transistors designed for use in MOS technology. The STC6NF30V is a versatile array that can be programmed to perform different tasks in order to reduce the overall power consumption. This array was developed by STMicroelectronics and is the world’s first true low-voltage array transistor.The STC6NF30VArray contains three N-channel MOS transistors and a P-channel MOS transistor. These transistors all feature high performance devices and their output sections is capable of providing an open-drain LED driver. In addition, the P-channel MOS transistor can be used as a General-Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) or a Power-Switched Control Status Line (CSL).The STC6NF30V Array includes two operating modes. In Mode 1, the array can be used to connect multiple transistors together and the output status can be monitored by programming the GPIO pins. This mode is ideal for low power applications such as LEDs, thermistors, electric fans, and other such current sensing devices. In Mode 2, the array can be used to create a voltage converter circuit. This mode requires a dedicated voltage regulator to be connected to the output of the array, and the input voltage can be regulated using an external solution such as a linear regulator or a PWM controller.The STC6NF30VArray utilizes its advanced MOS structure to maintain its high performance and low power consumption levels. It uses a low-power design with a voltage drop across the transistors of only 0.4V, which is significantly lower than other transistors in the same range.The STC6NF30VArray also utilizes a patented sleep-mode algorithm to help reduce the overall power used by the array. This algorithm selectively turns off the power pins in order to reduce the idle current consumed by the array. This feature is particularly useful for low-voltage applications where low power is key.The STC6NF30VArray also has an ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection system that helps protect the array from excessive electrical shock.
