Evaluation boards, such as STEVAL-ILL052V1 LED drivers, are designed for the purpose of testing, controlling and verifying LED applications. Built around the ST LED driver family, STEVAL-ILL052V1 LED drivers are specifically designed to provide an easy way to evaluate the performance of high power LED applications. The chip also features an adjustable current sweeping range, adjustable output voltage, and adjustable power limits. With this, users can optimize the outputs of the LED lamps by adjusting them to the specific requirement of their application.
The STEVAL-ILL052V1 LED driver is designed to work with various types of LEDs, including high power and low power types. For example, it can be used with both 24 V COB (chip-on-board) LED modules, as well as low power LED modules. It also features a “wait for trigger” feature, which can be used to start the LED lamps at a specific point in time. Furthermore, it supports multiple LED channels, so users can operate several LED lamps, individually or in chain.
The working principle of STEVAL-ILL052V1 LED drivers is based on constant current output control. In this technology, the control circuit regulates the output current of the LEDs in order to maintain their brightness level.
