The STEVAL-ILL078V1 is an evaluation board designed to provide a platform for evaluating applications involving LED drivers. These include the adjustable start-up voltage, the adjustable slew rate control, the adjustable frequency selection, the adjustable feedback voltage selector, and the adjustable pulse width modulation (PWM) driver.

In addition to the board’s controlling capabilities, the STEVAL-ILL078V1 is also capable of providing protection against transient voltage drops and surges on the mains supply. This protection is provided by a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode that limits the current when an undesired transient occurs.
