Steval-MKI037V1 is a low-cost, low-power evaluation board from STMicroelectronics, based around their MEMS digital output vibration sensor, the VL53L1X. It contains an onboard 12-bit ADC, a microcontroller, and a serial port driver. This evaluation board is designed to easily and quickly evaluate the performance of the VL53L1X sensor, and helps improve accuracy and system integration of environmental sensing applications. It can also be used as a reference for developing new designs.
The STEVAL-MKI037V1 evaluation board helps customers measure vibration accelerations, inclinations, and angles in a wide range of applications such as acoustic emission sensing, structural health monitoring, accelerometers, and more. It features rugged construction and support for a range of voltage levels from 3.3 to 5 V, making it suitable for practically any application.
The board includes an X-NUCLEO-53L1A1, a tiny, low-power, 3Volt MEMS digital output vibration sensor with an integrated MCU, onboard 12-bit ADC and a serial port driver for connection to host PC. It also features EVALUATION board logic and power supply, plus onboard I2C interface and other components.
The onboard X-NUCLEO-53L1A1 sensor is based on the latest VL53L1X Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology which is used for detecting movement, acceleration, inclination and angles with high accuracy. The board includes an integrated piezoelectric sensor as well as built-in shake detectors and detectors for inclination and angle. The onboard MCU allows for integration of basic algorithms for analysis of the signals.
The STEVAL-MKI037V1 evaluation board enables users to measure acceleration, speed, vibration signatures, and inclinations and angles of vibration. It features a low noise output and a wide dynamic range of vibration.
