The reset output is also driven low if the power supply voltage remains below the specified level for a set period of time (the delay period). After the power supply is restored to the normal level, the reset output is driven high again and the system is reset. The supervisor is also capable of detecting an over-voltage condition and will immediately drive the reset output low in such a situation.In addition to providing protection against transient voltage glitches and providing a reliable reset under over-voltage and voltage fall conditions, the STM6601BS2BDM6F also features a number of other features. One of these features is the ability to run in Active Mode or Power Down Mode. In Active Mode, all of the supervisor’s features, such as voltage monitoring and reset generation, are enabled and it consumes minimal power. In Power Down Mode, the supervisor is disabled and does not consume any power.
