The STM706DS6F Power Management IC works by providing signals for a voltage regulator to maintain supplied voltage at a constant level as well as to provide overcurrent protection. In addition, the STM706DS6F provides a wide range of analog peripherals to monitor signals for proper operation including LCD drivers, a keypad scanner, a switch matrix, and an integrated die-temperature color converter.
