STPS0540Z

The STPS0540Z is a single-phase 5.0 A ultrafast recovery diode designed for low voltage, high frequency operation in inductive voltage applications such as power supplies, DC-to-DC converters, and spindle motor drives. Applications for the STPS0540Z include low-power switch-mode converters, free-wheeling circuits, mains-connected rectifiers, snubber circuits, polarity protection circuits, and high-reliability DC-DC converters.

The diode is designed to recover from a shock in less than 45 ns to allow a high frequency operation up to 1 MHz. The state-of-the-art planar process provides excellent forward peak current and power dissipation ratings in a SOD-123 package.
