The SX9500IULTRT is an advanced capacitive touch signal conditioning chip specially designed to support the new mobile and consumer electronics products, such as mobile phones, tablets and gaming consoles. This chip integrates advanced signal conditioning technology, which enables it to convert an analog touch signal into digital information, as well as signal conversion between different kinds of a pressure sensor or touch sensor. The SX9500IULTRT works in two modes, static mode and dynamic mode. In static mode, the chip synthesizes both touch and motion data from the pressure sensor and the pressure sensor output will remain stable. In dynamic mode, the data is processed in an analog domain and is more dynamic. The chip will synthesize the pressure sensor data according to the load on the pressure sensor and the pressure level.

The SX9500IULTRT provides a versatile interface that is compatible with a variety of touch sensors and pressure sensors, and is also connected to almost all microcontrollers and processors used in advanced mobile electronic products. This chip provides two different data output protocols, I²C and SPI communication protocol. The I²C protocol provides the communication speed of up to 250 kHz, while the SPI protocol provides the communication speed of up to 1.3 MHz.
