The SX9500EVKA evaluation board is an ideal tool for quick testing of many different capacitive sensing applications. It is a flexible and cost-effective platform for development and verification of latest capacitive sensing technology. The SX9500EVKA provides the user with easy access to a wide range of capacitive sensor applications, including proximity, touch, and force sensing. The board is powered by the NXP LPC1768 microcontroller, which provides a reliable platform for rapid prototyping and testing of various capacitive sensing applications. It is also compatible with different software packages and supports both I2C and SPI interfaces.
The SX9500EVKA evaluation board is capable of reaching a maximum sensing area of 1cm2 and a maximum sensing range of 250000mm2. In addition, the onboard digital graphical user interface, allows for quick and easy configuration of the capacitive sensing system. This user friendly interface provides users with a wide range of adjustable options including, sensitivities, sampling rates, sleep mode configurations, and system clock configurations.

In terms of the working principle of the SX9500EVKA, it is based on a capacitive sensing technology. This device makes use of two sensing electrodes, one driven and one static. If an electrically conductive object (such as a finger) comes in contact with the static electrode, the electric field will be disrupted, resulting in a change in the current through the capacitive sensing circuit.
