The T89C51CC02UA-RATIM microcontroller (MCU) is a single-chip, 8-bit powerful, low-power CMOS device from Atmel. It is an enhanced 8051 device with a powerful RISC instruction set, featuring 16K of Flash program memory, 1024 bytes of data RAM, 63 of I/O pins, two increased serial communications (UARTs), and two high speed 16-bit counters/timers (C/T). It is developed to meet the diverse needs of embedded applications ranging from low cost, low power, small code size with high performance.
Application Field
The T89C51CC02UA-RATIM MCUs are designed to provide customer devices with the functionality required to meet many different embedded applications. It is designed to be used in networked devices, which require reliable communication, fast data computation and large computing capacity. Working Principle
The T89C51CC02UA-RATIM MCU is based on the 8051 core, and runs on a 16-bit CPU. It implements a variety of low-power embedded systems including energy- and power-managed, low-power sleep/idle modes and dynamic voltage scaling. To reduce power consumption, the T89C51CC02UA-RATIM MCU uses extreme low power mode, which shuts down the CPU to conserve power. The MCU supports seven low-power modes, each of which can be used to optimize power saving depending on the application requirements.
To quicken the data processing and communication tasks, the MCU integrates an 8kB Flash memory and an 1kB RAM memory. The 8kB Flash memory is capable of storing and executing up to 64K of code, which gives more chances for data handling and communication. To improve the data transmission rates, two 16-bit counter/timers (C/T) are integrated, supporting data rate up to 1Mb/s.
To further improve the data performance, the MCU integrates 63 I/O ports. With these available, the MCU can be directly connected to a wide selection of peripherals and additional discrete circuits, like indicators, LEDs, buzzers, sensors, etc. These I/O ports are also used to link the MCU to a network, enabling it to communicate with other MCUs or computers via the serial UARTs.
