Tantalum capacitors are more common in electronic circuits than any other type of capacitor, due to their stability, durability and low cost. One of the most popular tantalum capacitors is the TAP105K020CCS, which is designed for use in a variety of electronic applications. This layer creates an electrical field that separates the two surfaces, effectively acting as the capacitor\'s dielectric.

The substrate material used for the TAP105K020CCS tantalum capacitor is a conductive form of tantalum (CTF tantalum) which is usually bonded to a tantalum strip. This provides increased capacitance in a very small package, allowing for the use of smaller components and higher packing densities.
