TBDL001 is an evaluation board designed to enable efficient evaluation and demonstration of Texas Instruments (TI) DLP® Frontier™ High Brightness projection and sensing technologies as well as components necessary to build modules integrating DLP® module solutions. Utilizing the capabilities of TI\'s DLPC3435 digital controllers and DLP2010NIRDL78 Digital Micromirror Devices (DMDs), TBDL001 offers a complete platform for evaluation and rapid prototyping of HD 1080p60 projection and sensing systems.The DLPC3435 is a low-power, high-speed processor for driving DMDs, DLPs, and other FPDs. It offers an embedded controller architecture that enables quick setup and easy development for a broad range of display and sensing applications such as projectors, pico projectors, rear projection TVs, head-mounted displays, gesture recognition systems, automotive lighting, and machine vision. The DLP2010NIRDL78 DMDs are uniquely designed to support increased display resolution and increased frame rate, enabling brighter, sharper images. The DMDs on the TBDL001 board are designed to produce a full HD 1080p60 (1920 x 1080 resolution @ 60 frames per second) image. The DLPC3435 and DMDs together offer superior performance and reliability, making them ideally suited to demanding HD applications that require high speed, low latency, and consistent image clarity.The TBDL001 board includes the following components: DLPC3435 digital processor, DLP2010NIRDL78 1080p60 DMD, HDMI input/output, USB Type-C interface, built-in Wi-Fi, and LED lighting arrays. The DLPC3435 processor is the primary component controlling the configuration and operation of the board. It is responsible for image data signaling, timing and synchronization of the DMD, and interface control. The HDMI input/output allows for direct connection to HD monitors or other HD-compatible devices, while the USB Type-C interface can be used for direct connection to an external computer or other compatible digital devices. The built-in Wi-Fi is capable of streaming content wirelessly from a laptop or tablet to the TBDL001 board. Finally, the LEDs provide illumination for the display or sensing area.The TBDL001 board also includes an onboard non-volatile memory, which allows users to save board configuration parameters and keep them available for future use. This enables users to quickly switch from one application to another by simply reloading the required configuration parameters to the board.The capabilities and features of the TBDL001 board make it an ideal platform for developing high-quality prototypes and products for a variety of applications.
