The TC4427AEMF713 is an advanced Gate Driver for automotive MOSFETs and IGBTs. In a typical application, the TC4427AEMF713 is connected to a power MOSFET or IGBT via the drain and source pins, utilizing the +VBC and VSS pins for power supply. The supply voltage applied to the Vcc pin provides the high voltage turn-on and low voltage turn-off of the MOSFET/IGBT. The Gate pin is the primary control pin for controlling the on/off state of the MOSFET/IGBT.
The TC4427AEMF713 operates with a constant voltage control, where the voltage applied to the Gate pin determines the MOSFET/IGBT switching state. The Gate pin voltage can also be adjusted by the enable input to activate and deactivate switching.
The TC4427AEMF713 features a wide input voltage range of up to 40V, pulsed output current capability of up to 30A, rise and fall times adjustable between 1ns and 5ms, slew rate adjustable between 0.1V/ns and 2.5V/ns, adjustable maximum ON/OFF times, and adjustable operational modes. This ensures a high level of flexibility for the user.
The TC4427AEMF713 is also available in a programmable version, capable of providing adjustable gate drive current and/or control signals. In this version, the user can adjust the gate drive current and setting times of the device by connecting a few pins to the microcontroller. This allows for more precise current control and minimal power consumption.
