The TC4429EMF is an integrated circuit specifically designed to be employed as an electronic switch. It is alternatelty known as power MOSFET driver, a power MOSFET driver IC or an MOSFET driver IC. It is commonly used for operating the gate of power MOSFETs and IGBTs in relatively more mediaum to high performance applications. It generally comes in a standard 8 pin package and is designed to be employed when consistency and increased performance as far as speed of gate switching is concerned. This IC is also capable of providing gate drive current capability up to 1.2 A and can carry around 30 V at its output.
The TC4429EMF is a voltage-level translator commonly used in a high side driver setup. The Voltage-Level Translator is a shift register that enables switching of the supply voltage level— while keeping the on/off status of the transistor stable. The ability of this IC to shift voltage levels makes it simpler to implement circuits by making their level voltages adjustable and providing an easier implementation of the different classes of ‘on’ voltage levels. Furthermore, this module facilitates lower power consumption and increased reliability because of its low voltage level specification.
