Shipping the unit with the plug switched ‘off’ provides a closed, hysteresis switch. When the device senses a temperature change, the switch is triggered to open or close according to the temperature setting.The adjustable temperature switch is activated by the electronics within the device. It is set to be in either a normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) state, and the temperature setting and hysteresis are adjustable. Once the temperature passes the pre-set level the thermal limit switch actuates the post amplifier which will maintain an output voltage proportional to the temperature setting.
