It can be used to manage airflow in ventilation systems, as well as control the temperature of motors, fans, compressors, fixtures and machinery. The device is designed with durable components to ensure accurate and reliable temperature control.This device can be used to measure device temperatures, ambient temperatures, and to control heating and cooling systems. It functions by sensing changes in temperature that occur as a result of heating or cooling. It is equipped with an adjustable temperature sensor and a limit switch in the form of a removable plug. Shipping the unit with the plug switched ‘off’ provides a closed, hysteresis switch. When the device senses a temperature change, the switch is triggered to open or close according to the temperature setting.The adjustable temperature switch is activated by the electronics within the device. It is set to be in either a normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) state, and the temperature setting and hysteresis are adjustable. Once the temperature passes the pre-set level the thermal limit switch actuates the post amplifier which will maintain an output voltage proportional to the temperature setting. This voltage is then used to actuate an electronic switch, which controls the state of an electronic relay.For most applications, the TC624VPA is designed to be a closed-loop switch. This means when a rise in temperature occurs it acts as a ‘normally closed’ switch until the set temperature is reached, then it opens and the heaters, fans, and other associated processes are switched off until the temperature begins to drop below the set level. This type of temperature control reduces energy losses and increases efficiency by ensuring that temperature cycles are precise.The adjustable temperature sensor is designed to be used for thermal overload protection, over-temperature protection, temperature controlling, and other applications. An external thermistor can be connected if necessary so that the adjustable sensor can be used in various applications.
