TC7660SEOA is a DC-DC stepping-down converter developed by Texas Instruments. It is usually used as a switching-mode power supply, also known as an SMPS, and is designed to take one DC voltage and convert it to another DC voltage with efficiency greater than that of a traditional linear regulator. This device is a high-performance, cost-effective buck converter with integrated control and protection features and best-in-class, 0.4% accuracy line regulation for applications under variable input sources.The TC7660SEOA allows for the buck converter to operate from a wide range of input supply voltages and any output voltage from 0.8V to 8V with an external resistor. For example, it can operate with an input voltage of 4.5-20V and an output voltage of 1.8V. It provides continuous short circuit protection, over-temperature protection, over-current protection, and current foldback protection.
