TCA4311D is a low-power CMOS 8-bit bus buffer designed to ensure compatibility between TTL and CMOS technologies. It forces the outputs of CMOS and TTL devices to work together in a single system and also features low power consumption and high noise immunity. TCA4311D is part of the interface – signal buffers, repeaters, splitters and is available in a compact 14-pin DIP (dual in-line package) or 14-pin surface mount package.

The working principle of the TCA4311D is quite simple. It consists of an inverting buffer amplifier which amplifies the logic signal from a TTL input and sends it out to a CMOS output. This allows the TTL devices to directly control the CMOS devices, even though their logic levels greatly differ.
