PMIC - Voltage Regulators - Linear
Toll Counter Regulator 2LE10 (TCR2LE10) is a linear voltage regulator, which belongs to the Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) voltage regulator family. This regulator is based on the linear low dropout (LDO) regulator topology and is design to supply a regulated output voltage from an input voltage ranging from 2.7V to 18V to the load. This product has over-temperature and short circuit protection.
Applications
The TCR2LE10 is mainly used in industrial and automotive applications due to its features such as over-temperature and short circuit protection. Working Principle
Toll Counter Regulator 2LE10 operates according to the linear regulator topology. It includes an error amplifier, power transistor and associated components such as resistors and capacitors. The error amplifier is used to compare between the reference voltage and feedback voltage which are taken from the output voltage. The output voltage is then regulated by a power transistor which acts to reduce the input voltage that is supplied to the load thus maintaining a constant voltage at the output stage. This control loop will continue to operate until the output voltage is equal to the reference voltage. The error amplifier can also provide current or temperature protection.The output voltage is further improved with low noise and high accuracy by the usage of external components.
