TCSH5B Application Field and Working Principle

The TCSH5B is a specialized instrument used mainly for monitoring voltage, current and relay output. This versatile tool is often used in industries such as energy and power, automotive, medical, telecommunications and even aerospace for applications such as power system operation monitoring, electricity metering, monitoring of electric motors, and relay output testing.

The TCSH5B features four terminals, one of which is a common ground, that can monitor both voltage and current. The other three terminals can detect the presence or absence of voltage or current via the relays. Depending on the type of equipment being monitored and the user’s needs, the relays can be configured to respond to either AC or DC voltages. The relays can also be programmed to both close and open with response times as short as 0.5 second or as long as 99 seconds.

In terms of performance, the TCSH5B is designed to meet requirements for a wide range of current and voltage levels. The maximum safe current it can detect is 28.5mA, and the maximum safe voltage it can detect is 780V. The accuracy and resolution of the instrument is also quite impressive, with an accuracy of 0.5% and a resolution of 0.005A for current monitoring and a resolution of 0.1V for voltage monitoring.

The TCSH5B operates on the principle of voltage and current detection. When a voltage or current level is detected, the relays are set off and signals are sent to the user. For maximum safety, the TCSH5B is equipped with both over-current and over-voltage protection. If an overload of either current or voltage is detected, the relays will immediately shut off and the user will receive an alarm.

The TCSH5B is a versatile instrument, and is easy to set up and operate. It is CE and RoHS certified, and the relay outputs are isolated and protected from the voltage or current being monitored.
