TD310IN Application Field and Working PrincipleTD310IN is a single IGBT driver designed for use in high power, high current applications such as motor drives, server power supplies and telecom power amplifiers. It is a highly integrated device incorporating a low on-resistance IGBT driver, 9-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC), over temperature protection (OTP) circuit, overvoltage protection circuit, and programmable undervoltage lockout circuit (UVLO). Combining these functions provides superior efficiency and reduced complexity of the power electronics design.TD310IN can be used to drive IGBTs of up to 1kV with a minimum on-resistance of 0.2mΩ. The device also features a novel overvoltage protection circuit that is capable of preventing IGBTs from breakdown even at overvoltage up to 2kV.The TD310IN has an integrated 9-bit DAC that is used to adjust the gate threshold voltage of the IGBT. It also includes an adjustable overvoltage protection circuit that limits the IGBT\'s peak voltage to minimize switching losses. Additionally, the TD310IN incorporates a programmable undervoltage lockout circuit that limits the voltage applied to the gate of the IGBT to ensure safe operation.The device requires both a low voltage logic-level enable signal and an analog control signal to enable the IGBT. The enable signal can be different between positive and negative driving of the IGBT, and is used to turn on the driver. The analog control signal is used to adjust the gate threshold voltage of the IGBT. The TD310IN can be programmed for either single-ended or balanced gate drive voltage using the optional IGBT bootstrap circuit.The TD310IN offers a wide range of features, such as adjustable gate-emitter voltage and an integrated high-side driver, that make it very useful in high power, high current applications.
