TDR 3-0523SM Application Field and Working Principle

Working Principle

The TDR 3-0523SM works by converting the DC supply that is inputted to it by a power supply into a regulated current. The input voltage range of the TDR 3-0523SM is 8-36V, while the output current range is 0.25-2A. The output voltage is regulated at a constant level, regardless of the power supply voltage. This is done using three components, a power transistor, a voltage-mode PWM controller, and an opto-coupler. The power transistor provides the output power, while the voltage-mode PWM controller is used to control the switching of the power transistor, thus determining the output current. The opto-coupler acts as the feedback loop element, allowing for the output voltage to be monitored and adjusted accordingly.
