Aluminium electrolytic capacitors, sometimes simply called electrolytic capacitors, are polarized capacitors which have a non-solid13 aluminum oxide layer that acts as the dielectric material. One of the most common types of aluminum electrolytic capacitor is THAS201M300AD1C.THAS201M300AD1C is a radial canned type capacitor, mainly used for general purpose power supply applications in automotive, industrial and other sectors. It has a range of low ESR ratings, extended lifetime availability, and a compact package size, allowing it to fit easily in even the most confined spaces.The working principle of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor lies in its internal structure. Inside each capacitor, aluminum oxide is used for its dielectric, or insulating, property. The capacitor is composed of two aluminum foil electrodes which are separated by the aluminum oxide dielectric. A non-solid electrolyte covers the surface of the aluminum oxide dielectric and allows the electric charge to accumulate on the surface of the dielectric. This allows the electric charge to move freely between the two aluminum foil electrodes.The maximum capacitance value of THAS201M300AD1C is 270µF, its rated voltage is 16V and its leakage current is less than 0.02CV after 5 minutes of application of rated voltage. In addition to its compact size and low ESR rating, THAS201M300AD1C provides a variety of other advantages. It has extended life up to 10,000 hours at full load, temperature stability of ±15% between -40 and 85°C, and high ripple current capabilities, which are up to 1.7A rms up to 85°C.Due to all of these advantages, THAS201M300AD1C is widely used in a variety of electronics applications, including telecommunications, automotive, industrial, and more.
