THEVAL3503 is a highly integrated evaluation board specifically designed to drive LEDs. It offers a simple and fast way to demonstrate the ability of Ricoh’s LED driver devices. It is designed to provide a common platform to evaluate and test Ricoh’s LED driver devices in various LED backlighting modules. The evaluation board is capable of controlling up to four LED strings, with a maximum of 40 LEDs in one module. The board operates in a flexible, user-friendly manner, allowing users to customize their display with a variety of settings.

The THEVAL3503 has been designed to efficiently and accurately evaluate Ricoh’s LED driver devices. The board is equipped with 256KB of internal flash memory for storing the data, as well as a 16-bit μC for achieving control and communication of data between the device and the board. The board offers a wide range of features such as a switched LED voltage range of 0.5V–20.6V, a maximum LED current of 0.9A, a PWM resolution of up to 7 bits, and a 3-phase AC dimming capability of up to 7 kHz.
