Working Principle
The TISP4C180H3BJR-S is composed of two symmetrical thyristors inside the 4-pin SOT-89 package. When the current entering the anode of one thyristor exceeds the holding current of that thyristor, it will start to conduct. This in turn will cause the other thyristor to also become conducting. The two thyristors will then act to limit the voltage across the device to a safe level. When the over-voltage transient disappears, the thyristors will switch off and return to the non-conducting state.
