Working Principle

TL4019-30241TMQDLK snaps into action when the actuating lever is displaced, either manually or by mechanical contact, more than the set value. The snap-action of the switch produces an on/off electrical state with a distinct, repeatable tactile feel and a detectable audible click. This snap action operation results from a “tripping device” – either a spring, lever or shock absorber – which is affixed to the switch mechanism.

The tripping device applies force on the switch’s interior components. Once the actuator moves past the pre-set point, the force causes the mechanism to either make or break contact thus, producing the electrical action. Once the force is removed, a return spring restores the switch to its original state, restoring the contacts.

The trip point adjustment can be set in three independent directions and can even be adjusted after installation with a standard screwdriver.

TL4019-30241TMQDLK is also designed with a built-in latch design that maintains the contacts in the closed position until reset (via an external reset button). This mechanism minimizes the number of operations required to operate the switch and ensures a repeatable action.
