A Zener diode is used in conjunction with the bypass capacitors for the input and output sides for noise reduction and for providing stability. The P-channel MOSFET acts as a switch to control the regulated output voltage and the bipolar transistor acts as a current sensing device. The transistor acts like a short circuit and by passing the voltage pulses to the P-channel MOSFET which act as a switch. This switch further adjusts the output voltage keeping it at a safe level. This voltage regulation helps to maintain the desired current level when the output load changes. Overall, the TL780-15KCS is an efficient and reliable linear voltage regulator which is accurate, easy to operate and cost efficient. It provides great control over current and voltage levels while providing excellent accuracy and accuracy repeatability.
