Working Principle:
The TLC1549CDRG4 operates using a two-stage successive approximation architecture. In the first stage, a coarse conversion is carried out by comparing an input voltage to an internal reference voltage, which is generated by a band-gap reference circuit. The result of the comparison is fed to an internal digital error amplifier, which is used to control an integrator\'s voltage ramp. This ramp is then repeatedly compared to the input signal until the ramp voltage matches the voltage of the analog input signal. The result of the comparison is used to generate an 8-bit digital code that represents the analog signal.
Once the 8-bit digital code is generated, it is fed to the second stage, which is a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The DAC is used to generate a voltage that is compared to the analog input signal. If the two signals match, the 2-bit output of the DAC is used to generate the final 10-bit result. The 10-bit result is then output to the device\'s 10-bit digital output port.
