The TLE9260QXXUMA2 by Infineon Technologies AG is an interface product that enables transmission, reception, and arbitration (TRA) of up to 32 universal asynchronous receiver/transmitters (UARTs) coming from various microcontroller (MCU) systems or other host applications.

By providing an RTS/CTS line for each UART port, it allows for the simplest setup and use.

The interface controller is responsible for controlling the UART/user I/O transceiver, SRAM memory, and the processor. In combination with the power supply, it monitors their status and places the modules in either a low-power or a full-power mode, in accordance to the system\'s needs.

The integrated SRAM memory is used to store data and automatic write-increment operations. It can also store various copies of initial table values or codes which are automatically reloaded into the transceiver upon a system reset.

TLE9260QXXUMA2 is designed as a compact standard size module with a small form factor. Each module measures 30.5 mm by 15.9 mm and 0.5 mm in height. As a standard modules product, it has an individual module identification number for tracking. Moreover, Infineon Technologies AG ensures that this module will meet thermal and electrical specifications at 0.25 µm and 0.35 µm CMOS voltage.

The module is designed to meet all regulatory standards, specifically IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG) and RoHS 2.0. It supports a dual power input that allows the host to control both the transmission and reception by configuring its transmit data rate through the command byte. Lastly, the module is furnished with protection from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and is provided with a permanent memory.
